1483 Online is a free massive multiplayer online game based on the medieval historical time period of 1483 AD. It is a turn based game where up to 28 players take command of a kingdom or empire in 1483 AD and they compete for world dominion by using diplomacy and warfare to expand the power of their kingdom.
1483 was first published as Europe 1483, a board game released by the Guild of Blades Publishing Group in 1999. In late 1999 the game was adapted for online play as a human moderated play-by-email game, where its online following began to grow. The new 1483 Online computer game entered an open beta testing in May 2006.
