Al Gomez Tarrega (born March 10, 1956 in Madrid), better known as Algom, is a Spanish record producer. Algom has produced albums and singles for many artists since 1978. He works with American and Spanish singers.

Biography[]

Al Gomez Tarrega was born in Madrid to the family of a dancer Fiona Riggo and businessman Hoel Tarrega. He received his elementary education in Lecronitta elementary school in Spain. Then he studied in Madrid Government University. In 1978 he began his career as a producer. He was married in 1994 on a French designer Elisa Caplua. They have two children.

Producer career[]

1978-1980[]

Algom had worked with Massiel on his album Todas sus grabaciones en Polydor.

1981-1988[]

  • In 1981-1982 Algom worked with Spanish singer Julio Iglesias. Al produced four albums: Minhas canções preferidas, Momentos, Momenti, Et l'amour créa la femme.
  • In 1983-1985 Algom worked with Japanese singers: Kakko, Yuka Kashino.
  • In 1986-1988 Al was producing Salome.
  • In this years Algom'd become famous in Spain, Portugal and Japan.

1989-1994[]

  • Worked with many Spanish and Japanese singers.
  • In 1991 Algom was a judge on a Spanish talent show to 1994.

1995-1999[]

  • The "light years" of Al's producer career.
  • In 1995-1996 Algom was co-producering a famous Japanese singer Towa Tei for his first album Future Listening!.

Also in these years Algom was working with Shakira on her first album too Pies Descalzos.

  • In 1996 Algom produced Julio Iglesias album Tango.
  • In 1995–1997 Al worked with Enrique Iglesias on his album Enrique Iglesias.
  • In 1999 Algom produced Japanese's singer Aco album "Aishuu to Ballad".

2000-present[]

  • In 2000-2002 Algom worked with singer Nelly Furtado on her first album Whoa Nelly!.
  • Algom kept working with Shakira and was co-producing her album Laundry Service in 2001.
  • In 2001-2003 Al worked with many beginning Spanish singers.
  • In 2006 Algom produced Caótica Ana and he was working with a few Japanese singers in these year.
  • In 2008-present will be co-producing Shakira's sixth studio album.
  • In 2009 Algom produced "Hietta" Spanish singer David Gilaberte.
  • In 2009 Al returned to the work with Nelly. He is producing her up coming album in 2009-2010.
  • In 2009 Al become to work with beginning very unusual and unique Russian singer Virgin Boy (aka Victorin) (before he was just YouTube singer).
