Transformers: Dark of the Moon[]

Crowbar is a Decepticon who turns into a Carbon Motors E7 police vehicle. He is a member of the Dreads, a group of Decepticons.

Crowbar infiltrates and observes Autobot tactical movements with unmatched stealth and intellect. He has been trained in the most brutal Decepticon attack strategies for the unlikely event he is discovered.

Video games[]

Crowbar is among the characters who appear in the TRANSFORMERS CYBERVERSE Battle Builder Game.[1] He also appears as a playable character in the Nintendo DS version of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon videogame. Crankcase is playable in the PS3 & Xbox 360 versions of the game, but is accidentally called Crowbar

Books[]

Crowbar appears as a character in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Junior Novel.[2]

Movie plot[]

Crowbar, Hatchet and Crankcase are among the Decepticons hidden on the Moon in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When the Autobots investigate the crashed ship on the moon containing Sentinel Prime the three Decepticons secretly return with the Autobots. Once on Earth they take on the disguise of earth vehicles. Crowbar is killed by Ironhide.

According to Boom Tron, "The Dreads (Crankcase, Crowbar, and Hatchet) seem to be the Decepticon’s answer to the Wreckers, except the movies manage to mess it up even more. While the Wreckers had voices (well, two of them did), the Dreads might as well have been named the Generics. Nothing they did separated them from the countless other nameless Decepticons that appeared throughout the film....Unfortunately, Crowbar and Hatchet weren’t named after anybody, so there’s nothing to compare them to. Well that’s not true. There’s dozens of Decepticons they could have been based on!"[3]

Toys[]

  • Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Legion Crowbar (2011)
