Daniel Street is an award-winning Australian television journalist and human rights activist.

He is a federal political correspondent for Channel Nine's National Nine News[1].

Street has received several awards in recognition of his journalism. In 2008, then Governor-General Michael Jeffery awarded him the Future Summit Australian Leadership Award in recognition of his work relating to domestic and world inequality and injustice[2][3]. In 2009, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd awarded Street the National Press Club Young Achiever Award for Fair and Ethical Reporting.[3] Also in 2009, Street became a recipient of a Chevening Scholarship having read a Masters of Philosophy in Development studies at the University of Cambridge.[3].

Daniel was educated at Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview and the University of Technology, Sydney[citation needed]
