Daniel Street is an award-winning Australian television journalist and human rights activist.
Street has received several awards in recognition of his journalism. In 2008, then Governor-General Michael Jeffery awarded him the Future Summit Australian Leadership Award in recognition of his work relating to domestic and world inequality and injustice. In 2009, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd awarded Street the National Press Club Young Achiever Award for Fair and Ethical Reporting. Also in 2009, Street became a recipient of a Chevening Scholarship having read a Masters of Philosophy in Development studies at the University of Cambridge..
