Denise Nickerson was born in New York City on April 1 1957. She did shows in the 1960's such as The Doctors. She had a big break in 1968 on Dark Shadows. She left to do a movie called The Neon Ceiling. In 1971 she was chewing-gum girl Violet Beauregarde in the hit classic movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In the movie she chewed gum with a 3-course dinner of roast beef, baked potato and blueberry pie, afterwhich she turned into a blueberry. In 1972-1973 she joined the Electric Company as Alison. She did several songs such as "The Sweet Sweet Sway," and they included her song in one of the Brady Bunch finale episodes "Two Petes in a Pod." She created the role Liza Waltzon on the CBS soap Search For Tommorow. She was married to Rick Keller, who died due to a brain aneursyem in 1981. In 2002, she parctipated as contesant number 2 in John O'Hurleys show To Tell the Truth.
