Dungeons & Dragons Edit

Giant spiders have been present in Dungeons & Dragons since the 1st Edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, released in 1977.[1] They have been present in every version of the game released since then and are still present in the 3rd Edition, where they are classified as vermin.[2]

NetHack Edit

In NetHack, a giant spider is a monster with a poisonous bite.

Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game Edit

Giant spiders were present in the first edition of Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game, where they are described as "a spider of staggering size—perhaps 15 feet around—with great furred body."[3]
