Modern languages have vocabularies that are derived from diverse backgrounds, and improper nouns occasionally enter popular usage simply because they have been created or re-used in a meaningful way by a sufficiently popular show, performer, group, or website. A word created in popular culture will often be a neologism, but this is not always the case, such as in the case of embiggened.
