"Mother and Child in the Bay" is the 24th episode and the second episode of season 2 of the American television series, Bones. Written by Stephen Nathan and directed by Jesús Salvador Treviño, the episode was first aired on september 6, 2006 on the FOX Network. The plot features the investigation of FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (played by David Boreanaz) and Dr. Temperance Brennan (played by Emily Deschanel) into the murder of missing pregnant woman after her remains wash up onshore, but the suspect, the women's husband, disappears. Meanwhile, Bones continues to clash with Cam, and Booth gets a visit from his ex played by Jessica Capshaw.

SummaryEdit

In Delaware bay, the largely decomposed corpse is found of Carlie Richardson, missing for a year, her husband Kyle was released for lack of a corpse. She was brutally beaten up, and pregnant, a fresh water fish proves the body was moved. Booth worries if his ex Rebecca's new boyfriend Drew is a good influence on Parker, their 4-year-old son, Bones still mistrusts her new department chief Dr. Camille Saroyan. Kyle Richardson has fled, hitting his present girlfriend Karen Tyler, according to her to save her the risks of coming with him, she is soon caught on several lies. The evidence proves Kyle couldn't have done it; the corpse drifted naturally all the way from a creek in New Jersey. The evidence holds more surprises, such as a second baby.
