- Breath weapon: White-hot fire, Hold monster gas
- Terrain: Twin Paradises of Bytopia
- Alignment: Neutral Good
- Notes: Oversized natural weapons, Can destroy Adamantium fortresses. Also, they look like they are made of jet-black metal.

- Terrain: Olympian Glades of Arborea
- Alignment: Chaotic Good

- Notes: Battle dragons are glorious creatures that exalt in valorous combat. They often serve as steeds for brave warriors

- Terrain: Wilderness of the Beastlands
- Alignment: Chaotic Good or Neutral Good
- Notes:

- Breath weapon: Random elemental blast (acid, cold, electricity, fire, sound, etc.), Confusion gas
- Terrain: Ever-Changing Chaos of Limbo
- Alignment: Any Chaotic

- Breath weapon: Poisonous insanity vapors
- Terrain: Infinite Layers of the Abyss
- Alignment: Chaotic Evil
- Notes: Chole dragons cannot make any noises and do not have wings, making them very different from other dragons. They also are enigmatic, having strange runes on their bodies and tentacles.

- Breath weapon: Antithetical energy
- Terrain: Concordant Domain of the Outlands
- Alignment: True Neutral
- Notes: Its Breath weapon is a beam of translucent energy that inverts everything that it passes by. It explodes on contact. Relatively easygoing, they tend to get along well with other dragonkind, especially their own kind.

- Breath weapon: Superheated ash & waves of sonic, Disintegrating line
- Terrain: Bleak Eternity of Gehenna
- Alignment: Lawful Evil or Neutral Evil
- Notes: The Pyroclastic dragon is arguably one of the most powerful of all extraplanar dragons in D&D, likely rivaled only by the Radiant dragon.

- Breath weapon: Force, Light
- Terrain: Seven Mounting Heavens of Celestia
- Alignment: Lawful Good
- Notes: The Radiant dragon is arguably the most powerful of all extraplanar dragons in D&D, likely rivaled only by the Pyroclastic dragon.

- Notes: They prefer to live in deep water. Also, they have a lure.

- Breath weapon: Line of disruptive force, cone of will-sapping gas
- Terrain: Tarterian Depths of Carceri
- Alignment: Neutral Evil or Chaotic Evil
- Notes: Both wardens and prisoners of Carceri, tarterian dragons enjoy feasting on fiendish flesh.
