Series 4 of Primeval is confirmed to start either December 2010 or early January 2011. There will be seven episodes in the series. Jason Flemying, Andrew-Lee Potts and Hannah Spearitt are returning for Series 4 along with other recurring characters and also three brand new characters. Laila Rouassa will not be returning as Sarah Page.

Filming on Series 4 began in March 2010 and is scheduled to finish in November 2010 before airing early next year - possibly at Christmas.

Series 5 has been confirmed and will air late 2011, early 2012 although no casting has been confirmed for the fifth series of the tv drama.
