The West Branch Children's Film Festival is an annual film festival held in West Branch, Michigan. The first annual festival was held from July 30, 2009 to August 1, 2009. In 2010, it will be held on July 9 and 10.

AwardsEdit

In the festival, awards are given for Youth Produced and Best of Fest - which are both voted for by the people of the town. Also, there are awards given for best in category, including Experimental and Documentary.

EnteringEdit

Anyone can enter this festival, as long as the film is kid-friendly and does not plagiarize or infringe copyright. Filmmakers who enter send their DVDs or videos of the films, short films, or videos to West Branch where they are reviewed by the Film Festival board. They must also pay a fee, sign an entry form, and give their information and biographies.

Film categoriesEdit

The categories the Festival includes are Feature Films, Short Films, Animated Films, Documentary Films, Experimental Films and Music Videos.

Other activitiesEdit

The Town also offers a wide range of other activities during the Festival, including workshops, outdoor movie showings, musical entertainment, socials and more. The Festival ends with an award ceremony highlighting the best films of the festival.
